Today was a perfect example of why it’s important to be flexible, yet prepared. Everything was going great. I had my workout planned, the room set up, the kids occupied and then YouTube decided to not stream my video. Why, I am still in the process of figuring out. Thankfully, I had already set up a Zoom account when first trying to determine which tech tool I would use to keep the workouts alive during this crazy time. And so, we switched to the Zoom platform at the last second.
Thank you to everyone for being so flexible today. I sincerely appreciate it and more importantly value the support you have given me in running with this. It’s fun. It’s exciting. It’s new. It’s challenging. It’s rewarding. And all of YOU are the reason it’s worth it.
I’d like to say thank you to my husband for “watching” the girls (although I think the TV did most of the watching) so I can teach class, but mostly for making dinner quietly in the background so we could sit down to a family meal at 6. Seriously though, he’s been my tech support and was instrumental in helping me navigate the stressful moments between 5 and 5:11 today when I saw it all crashing. Thanks Mike. You are the best.
The lesson from today is that no matter how hard you try, sometimes things just don’t go smoothly. It’s pretty similar to the current situation we find our country in at this time. I hope the next few weeks runs smoothly for everyone with very little disruption and that everyone remains healthy and safe. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
I’ll see you all Sunday at 9:30 AM for the next workout.
