Please Note: There is NO class this Thursday. Please check out the recorded classes and use one of those to guide you. Or, if it’s nice out, get out and enjoy the sunshine while it’s here! We will have class Saturday.

August Challenge

I’m creating an August Challenge for our group! Let’s see how many of us can meet it!

August Challenge: Workout 20 times this month! These can be workouts with Melissa on Zoom or In Person classes on Saturdays. Other ideas include: bike ride, run, brisk walk, yoga, strength workouts, hiking, swimming, etc.

Let us know when you accomplish this goal by posting in our Workoutbreak Facebook page.

Outdoor Saturday!

Join me tomorrow for another outdoor workout. If you haven’t joined us yet, text me (847-431-4055) and I’ll get you the directions. Plan on bringing a mat (in the grass), weights and water.

I’m still working on the details of the workout, but I’ll let you know if I change the equipment needs tonight.

Social distance rules in place but still so much fun to be had!!!!

Saturday workout….

It looks like we have another beautiful Saturday to get outdoors and enjoy the summer day. Class will start at 9:30 AM. We will meet in our “normal” (because nothing about this world is normal) spot in LZ. Text me if you need the address and info. (847-431-4055)

Bring your weights, a mat if you want one (We will be in the grass.), and water! (If anyone has a megaphone, bring that too:)

For anyone that hasn’t come yet, we have two huge fields so you are able to spread out and socially distance from everyone. Please text me if you have any concerns.

In case I didn’t see you in person this weekend, I wanted to be sure to say thank you to everyone for my generous birthday gifts. The group and individual gifts were so thoughtful and are sincerely appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

I have said it time and time again, but this workout crew is the absolute best group of people. We have a unique bond which closely resembles that of a family. We cheer each other on, lift each other up, and celebrate all of life’s achievements together. And even in a quarantine and uncertain future, we continue to show up week after week to workout together and get a little taste of socialization. This is truly special!

Many of you are friends of mine on FB, so some of you are aware of my goals for the next decade. My goal for the next decade is to give more and spread kindness. If you aren’t on FB, join and then find me at Melissa Bierman Dobkin. In honor of my goal, I started a workOUTbreak FB group where we can hopefully get more of our socialization and provide a space for people to post their workout and other successes, ask fitness questions, etc. Please invite others to the group that have a passion for fitness. I think this will be a great way to motivate each other to workout harder, be kinder, and bring more happiness to this world. Please join me! Lets create this neat space together! I love having friends I can workout with!
